With great pleasure..I announce that I am now exhibiting my work in the Province of Quebec at Galerie d’Art au P’tit Bonheur..so Jim and I will have to brush up on our conversational French.
I have shipped a small body of work which has been received with great enthusiasm as work has already been sold ( and taken off the website) ...so I am in my studio working on more paintings for their collection, as well as new work for my other galleries. Happy New Year everyone. All the best in 2013.

Long and Narrow

Two new Forest Light paintings at Gibson FIne Art, follow a long narrow format of 24 x 54 and concentrate on the light pattern at eye level and create depth using layers of trees,foliage and light rather than the ground or path. This results in a contemporary landscape with the use of a lot of abstraction while maintaining the viewers connection tot he subject matter. Paintings are Summer Song and Autumn Escape.

On The EASEL

Two large works have just been shipped and safely arrived this week at Canada House in Banff. They are Forest Light Series: Evanesce and Our Mad River Canoe. The canoe painting is our green ABS canoe which has had a great life first as a rental canoe for a wilderness tripping company and now as our invincible white water canoe. The painting is a memory of a canoe trip to Killarney and recalls a spot where a beaver dam forced us to portage. The painting on the easel is 24 x 54, Forest Light Series: Evanesce and weather permitting I will get a good photograph of it outside today in natural light, then it will make its way to one of my galleries.

All the work has arrived at Canada House in Banff and is posted on their website. I have also started posting the new work on my website. Watch for a new page/series called Wetlands
